Who We Are

CatAgeChart is a small website made for one simple reason. We wanted a fast way to find out how old a cat is in human years, and the answers online kept giving us different numbers. So we made our own tool.

That is pretty much the whole story.

We are not a big company. We are just cat owners who got curious one day, did some reading, and decided to share what we found.

Why This Site Exists

A lot of people still believe a cat year equals seven human years. That is what most of us heard growing up. But that rule is not right, and it has not been right for a long time.

Cats grow up really fast in their first year. By the time a kitten turns one, it is already close to a teenager. The second year is also pretty quick. After that, things slow down. So the math is just different from what most people think.

We figured a clean tool with a slider and a clear chart would help. No popups, no signup, no junk. Just a useful little tool.

What You Will Find Here

The main thing is the cat age calculator. You move the slider, pick the months, and you get a result in seconds. The result also tells you the life stage, which is helpful because a young adult cat needs different care than a senior one.

We also share short articles and fun facts. Some of it is about cat health. Some of it is about behavior. A lot of it is the kind of stuff cat owners look up at 2 am when their cat is doing something weird.

If you only need the calculator, that is fine too. Bookmark the page, come back when you need it, and ignore the rest.

A Few Things to Know

We are not vets. The information here is meant to help you, but it should not replace a real visit to a real veterinarian. If your cat is sick, acting strange, or seems to be in pain, please talk to a vet. We say this a lot because it really matters.

The calculator gives a good estimate. It does not know if your cat is healthy, overweight, indoor, outdoor, or stressed out. Those things affect aging in real life. Your vet sees the full picture. We just do the math.

Also, breeds age a bit differently. A Maine Coon and a Siamese will not follow the exact same path. The numbers here are a general guide that works for most cats.

How We Write Things

We try to keep things short and easy to read. No long medical paragraphs. No scary stuff. No salesy fluff.

If we get something wrong, we will fix it. If you spot something that looks off, please email us at intopens50@gmail.com. We read every message.

What is Next for the Site

Right now the focus is the calculator and a small library of articles. Over time we want to add more breed-specific info, simple care guides, and maybe a few tools for tracking your cat’s milestones. Things like vaccines, vet visits, weight, that kind of stuff.

Nothing fancy. Just useful things in one place.

Thanks for Stopping By
