This page covers a few things you should know about the content and tools on CatAgeChart. Reading this once is enough. We tried to keep it short and to the point.

We Are Not Vets

This is the big one, so it goes first.

Nothing on this site is a substitute for real veterinary care. Not the calculator, not the articles, not the tips, not anything. If your cat has a health issue, please talk to a licensed vet. They can examine your cat, run tests, and give advice that fits your cat specifically.

If something feels off with your cat, do not delay. Cats hide pain well. A vet visit is almost always the right move.

About the Calculator

The cat age calculator gives you an estimate. It is based on common formulas used by vets and pet care groups. But there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • The result is a general guide, not an exact age
  • Different cats age at different speeds based on breed, health, diet, and environment
  • The calculator does not know your cat’s medical history
  • Two cats of the same age can be in very different health

So treat the number as a helpful starting point, not a final answer.

About the Articles

We do our best to share accurate, useful information. We read studies, vet articles, and trusted pet care sources before writing anything. Still, things change over time. New research comes out. Older info gets updated. Some studies disagree with each other.

If you spot something on the site that looks wrong or outdated, please email us at intopens50@gmail.com. We will look into it and fix it if needed.

We also do our best to keep things simple. Cat care has a lot of fine details and we cannot cover every case. The content here is meant for general reading, not for solving specific medical problems.

No Vet-Client Relationship

Just to be clear: visiting this site, reading our articles, or using the calculator does not create any kind of vet-client relationship. We are not your cat’s care team. We do not have access to your cat’s records. We cannot diagnose anything, prescribe anything, or follow up with you.

For any of that, you need a real vet.

Ads and Affiliate Links

We show ads through Google AdSense and similar networks. These ads help keep the site free. We do not pick the exact ads. They are chosen by algorithms based on your interests.

Some articles may include affiliate links to products. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It does not cost you anything extra. We only mention products we think are useful to cat owners, but we cannot test every single item out there.

You should still do your own research before buying anything for your cat.

External Links

Some pages on this site link to other websites. Once you click out, you are on their site, not ours. We are not responsible for what they say, sell, or collect. Please read their own privacy policy and terms before sharing anything with them.

Content Use

The text, images, and tools on this site are ours unless we say otherwise. You are welcome to share a link, quote a small part for a review, or send a friend to a page they might find useful. Copying full articles or republishing content without permission is not allowed.

If you want to use a longer section of our work for something, just reach out and ask. Usually we are pretty open about it.

No Promises

We try hard to keep the site accurate, fast, and useful. We cannot promise it will be perfect. Things can go wrong. Pages can break. Information can become outdated. By using the site, you agree that we are not on the hook for problems caused by relying on this content alone.

For anything important like health, treatment, or major care decisions, please talk to a vet.

Updates to This Page

If we change anything important on this page, the date at the top will show when it was last updated. By continuing to use the site after a change, you accept the latest version.
